  2. Huron had a chance to win this game. I was hoping they would win. It would have been good for the league.

I was a little surprised to see some members of a league team there rooting for Douglas.

  3. Great game, I supported the league rooting for Huron. Thought Richardson would of played better. Jessie Wint played great for the Cheifs. Congrats on a great season.

  4. GREAT SEASONS CHIEFS
45-3 last two years two Huron league & Two District championships.Undefeated at home over two years. And this year 23-1 undefeated in the league and the regular season and disricts. The season is over but the memories will stay with all of us for ever. What you guys did the last two years is so hard to do. And it will be a very long time before it's done again. The way You boys played all year is the definition of team.Good luck lady Chiefs.
Again thanks for the memories boys

  5. I think this just proves that those of us who told you the league was WEAK were proved right by tonights results. SMCC winning is nothing to write home about since they beat a team with a losing record.

Meanwhile here's hoping Huron learns to win with a little bit more elegance. The players are great, but the coaches, parents, and fans need a reality check. Especially the fanatics.

Believe me. Huron will finish no lower than third next year, and will beat Flat Rock both times. Enjoy the good times.

  6. Lansing Sexton was the real deal, they would do the same thing to everyone in the huron league as what they did to milan. the best high school team I've seen in a long time!!! they will win states. they went deep last year in class A, no one will beat them!!

  7. How many points did Richardson have? I read somewhere he was 0 for 17? I think that had to have been a misprint or something in the Detroit News. If it is true, did they double team him or something like that? I could not make the game and have little details.

  8. Like I said before, nobody around here is going anywhere, (Except maybe the Huron Girls)
I agree Huron will destroy Flat Rock next year. FR will be lucky to win 3 or 4 games the entire season. Their program has gone down the tubes. Watch out for the FR girls in a few years though!
All you area basketball gurus need to go and see some of the teams that win regionals and quarters, no one around here that plays like that.

  10. too the poster at 9:58 that 0-17 is not a typo. Although douglass played solid D on him he still had his share of open shots, the only problem was that none of them went into the basket.

  11. Do I need to repeat myself about posting certain things? Please don't call me out for not posting jibberish. I really don't care what you think of me. I feel pretty solid in my manhood. Maybe if you would have posted your name I would have posted it. I will politely suggest that you email me from your real email address and I will promise that I will post it with your name attached. Sound fair?

  12. Through all the negative posts that have been posted or not posted, (I have posted a few), I would like to congratulate Huron on a fantastic 2 year run. I am a FR fan, however, you can not deny what a great story they have been. Also good luck to the Huron girls, what a great season, keep it going!
To SMCC, great job. You are getting hot at the right time. A Regional Championship is a big deal in these parts in basketball. I will be cheering for you all the way.
Good work to all teams that made it this far.

  14. What does it say about the talent level in the league that 2 of it top 5 stars in the league shot 1-29 in regionals (Richardson 0-19,Duffin 1-10). Thats not good for the league.

  15. Whiteford and Dundee had losing records also. get a LIFE loser. SMCC is playing really well and has a great chance at pulling the upset. Team Work is whats working for the Falcons and I wish them the best. Make Monroe PROUD....

You were a little surprised to see some members of a league teams there rooting for Douglas? Its no secert that the other teams in the league did not like or even respect Huron.

  18. Yeah its no secret that other league teams can't be respectful sports and cheer on their league because they are mad that a team to which was down for so long, finally came back and took over the league... Love the jealousy to which is in the league and how many haters there are because Huron won the league and went undefeated in the league.

  19. Hey i guess thats what happens when you play 40 games and only lose 1.I would think huron should be the one that has no respect for anyone in the league.
