Just thought I would throw out a little poll to determine if this silly little blog was a good idea or not.
I'm not big into controversy and I could really care less if the blog continues after the season ends so help me decide.
The crying on here has been a bit much and you only get to see about half of it.
I like to think the player bashing has been kept off for the most part. I also like to think I have help create a little more interest in basketball around the Huron League.
The football blog will continue next season and I have to say I enjoyed doing it much more than the basketball blog.
So please let me know your vote and post a comment if you like.

ReplyDeleteI spent 10 years of my life coaching in the huron league. I now live in alabama. This blog is a very nice vehicle to keep informed about the league. You do a great job of filtering out the crap. I am sure it is tiring dealing with this stuff. I vote for you to keep it. Although if you kill it I would understand that too.

I visit the site daily. I love the picks and scoring information I think you pick up more gossip and BS because they play 20 games instead of 9. My vote STAY ALIVE. I need some add info for the site

ReplyDeletewhat's the real purpose of the pole Chris? Do you honestly think you will get more "kill" votes than "keep"? Those that would come and vote are the ones that visit the site and like the site. Why would you visit the site to vote kill? Just seems sort of silly to me.
ReplyDeleteWith as much hate mail as I get I figured it would be worthwhile to see where the people are on this. I'm not looking for a majority vote. I have a percentage wriiten down that if it surpasses it I'll kill the blog. Plain and simple. The football blog was fun because I am a fan. I was hesitant on a basketball blog because I know a little more of the intimate details regarding the league. As for people who don't like the blog not coming on here, guess again. They can't help themselves, it is addicting:)

ReplyDeleteI don't mind the hate mail. It is actually quite entertaining. You can't believe the stuff people write. People I know too! It doesn't get too personal but some lines have been crossed every now and agin.
ReplyDeleteI just don't want to contribute to something that people may feel is a bad thing. I know there are some yahoos out there and you blow those off but you still want to see where others may stand.
Chris, I hope you decide to keep it. I think most readers look foward to the comments and information.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should set he ground rules at the beginning of the year next year, and see if that helps. But remember, with any open forum such as this, there are going to be negative comments, and people razzing each other. I think that is all a part of it, although I like the way you try to protect the kids somewhat. But do not erase everything negative either, that makes it too socialistic, remember "Free Speech?"
I hope you keep it up next year. You know you like this tuff!
