  1. SMCC 71 Flat Rock 65

Scarton and Wetzel both had good games. Scarton did really good actually. Scarton also had a dunk.

I want to send a get well wish to SMCC's #40 Calvin Mcshane. He hurt his knee really bad. I guess it was his kneecap. All I know is he was screaming and he was taken away on a stretcher.

  3. According to the evening news Scarton had 33 while Ed Shinevarre had 21 and Wetzel had 17. And wow really nice win for airport!

  4. Airport has the best starting 5 in the league. Since Pidgeon has been back, no team in the league has come with in 20 points of Airport. Pidgeon opens up the floor for Baker,Jones, and Fidler. AIRPORT IS ROLLING!!!!!!

  8. I read that the flatrock coach stated he thought Scarton was an all-stater!!! If that is the case and you have an all-stater playing for you in the Huron League... YOU SHOULD WIN ALOT OF GAMES in the league... But to win games you would have to play defense!!!

  10. Chris,
Being a coach at Huron, I can't believe you haven't made a big deal about Huron Winning the HLC????????????
Congrats to Huron, they've had a great year so far, and to wrap up the Huron League Title two years straight is a great accomplishment!

  12. I think not, Airport lost at home to Riverview with Pidgeon.

  13. Scarton and Stewart are the best overall players in the league.Scarton is quick and can hit the 3 from deep. Stewart can handle the ball nicely and get to the lane over any defender. They score whenever they want to and come up in the cluth when they are in need. Richardson shoots 20 shots a game...Luckily he has 4 other good players to even it out. Wetzel can shoot the 3 ball like he's shooting into the grand canyon but isn't showing anything besides that. Duffin is a great athlete and is quick but teams just underestimated milan so he looked like a stud in everyones 1st encounter with him. As for baker/Pidge/Jones, Baker is a good all around player, nothing too special in any aspect but he does his thing. Pidgeon and Jones can hit the 3 ball when they are wide open..nothing special.
Kowaski and Stockert are the only guys you can call big men. Stockert is a good all around post guy but Kowalski is an athlete. Kowaski is the best big guy in the area.

  14. So how bad did mcshane hurt his knee? Is he done for the year?

  15. I am very happy that they have two titles in a row. I don't think you can imagine how happy I am for those players, former players and the student body in general. I happy for Kabby. I think he has done a great job. I just figured I could write something on the blog when I choose to.

  16. To the comment about mcshane. He dislocated his kneecap. They popped it back in place and put a cast on. Now they are waiting for the MRI to see if he tore anything.

  17. Richardson doesn't shoot 20 times a game.

  18. I understand that sports are a huge part of peoples lives as it is mine also. But we should not forget that these are kids we are talking about. Trashing them when you should be encouraging them. Great that Scarton is having a great year, great that airport is making a comback. Great that Huron has two league titles. All are great as are the kids - I emphasize KIDS- we are talking about. Kids that read all you are talking about. So next time you want to write how bad a player is or whatever, realize they are kids with feelings

  19. For the life of me I don't see how anybody is so convinced that Scarton and Stewart are the best players in the league. Richardson is as good or better than the two of them in every offensive category and blows them both away in the defensive categories. Neither one of them are on the list for blocked shots or rebounds, which Richardson has very respectable numbers in, and he has twice as many steals as either one of them. If I were building a team of the best Huron League players it would start with Richardson! He can score with anyone and plays defense!

I also don't understand how anyone thinks Kowalski is the best big man. Stockert is much more dominant and athletic! The best way to compare these two is how they fared head to head. Stockert, in the two meetings, scored more points, had more free throw attempts, more blocked shots, and more steals. Kowalski had one more rebound than Stockert. Kowalski is going to be dominant......next year!

  20. Richardson is averaging 17.4 shots a game (that does not count the ones that he gets fouled on)
So I would say he shoot 20 a game

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh, so you changed the rules. Fine , let's count every shot they take then. Do the math! Those three players on average take the same amount of shots.

  22. Trashing kids? I try to keep this site as clean as possible. I'm looking at the last couple of threads and I'm not really seeing where I missed some things.

Please point it out and I will gladly remove it.

  23. NO NO, I do not mean that. This site is great!! I just know that some people are harsh on certain kids (previous days posts) and those kids follow this. This is a great site and you do a great job, I was trying to tell people to keep in mind how hard all the kids work and they are kids and they do make mistakes. Thats all

  24. OK thanks! If an inapprpriate post goes through please send me an email. I will remove it.:)

  25. Oh big deal alot of the supposed trashing that does happen is all in good fun. QUIT BEING SO SENSITIVE!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. its not about being sensitive, its about being respective. If a parent is going to dog a 16-18 year old kids skills in basketball for a highschool game, thats just dumb. When the parent doing the talking probably couldn't do half the things the player can do. Richardson for example; people want to talk about how his shooting is not that good and how he's not a good player. Well when your getting 15+ points per game and averaging i think it was 2/3 steals a game and making almost every free throw and a parents downs skills like that? Makes you want to see the parent/person doing the talking do half the things he does.

  27. Im not a parent though Im only 18 baby!!!!!

  28. What is all this talk about scarton, stwart, baker, wetzel as best player.Come on those kids are all good at something. But RICHARDSON is by far the best all around player in the league. And the best leader he has brought this team very far winning it's second league tittle in two years.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Honestly...I hate when people try to talk about who the best player in the league is. Seriously everyone who comments on here has probably only seen each player play twice besides the kids on the team they follow. So how do you people know? Like this comment above me...how do you know that Richardson is by far the best all around player in the league? I agree with giving him MVP of the league because he is the best player on the team who won the league, but I don't understand how he is by far the best all around player in the league? Have you even watched Scarton, Stewart, or Wetzel more than 2 games?
