  2. These are my picks...

    Grosse Ile 62
    Jefferson 40

I think this will be a blowout because i personally think Jefferson isnt even close to any of the teams in the Huron League certainly not the first 5... Maybe they can get a win against Milan... Dex Teen will lead the Devils to a nice win

    Riverview 60
    Milan 46

Stewart is playing pretty well and Kowalski is my favorite big guy in the Huron League... He rebounds and blocks shots

    Airport 64
    SMCC 58

Everyone keeps talking about Wetzel Wetzel Wetzel yeah he can shoot... but the Falcons are 2 and 3 they arent in my mind as good as people think that they are... Airport will win a close game because of their speed in their guards

    Huron 74
    Flat Rock 68

This game will be a lot closer then you guys think... Scarton tends to play very well in big games and keep in mind this is the Rams first home game... They will be jacked to take on the Chiefs at home

  5. Huron beats Flat Rock in a nail biter. I attended the game and it was sloppy sloppy sloppy from start to finish.

My thoughts on the game. 1st of all Flat Rock controlled the entire tempo of the game from start to finish. Or should I say Scarton controlled the entire tempo of the game. Huron lacks this type of leader at the point guard position. Most of the time it looked as if Huron was running wild esp. on offense.

Tavtigian is a hustler and Corbiel will come into his own but neither have the ball handling skills to be this kind of leader. I think #3 Jesse W. (not sure of the spelling on his last name) could fill this void he has much better ball handling skills.

Most of all I was very surprised Huron didn't feed the ball down low to Stockert more often. When he did get the ball it looked as if he could score at will.

Richardson was great as Scarton was too. And to round it out Flat Rock made most of thier free throws as Huron missed most of theirs.

  6. Scarton can handle the ball but what your missing is he don't play DEF.Richardson dose it all.And he can handle the ball Huron gets up and down the court fast. Some times it may look out of control but thats how they play.Just because scarton sits at the top of the key waiting to take a shot does not make him a good leader.A good leader is someone like Richardson who does all the dirty stuff to thats a leader.

  8. I disagree Scarton is a very good Defensive player. (and I am a Huron fan from Huron) Richardson does do it all and I believe he is the best all around player in the league. But he is a shooting guard not a point guard. All I was saying is that Huron was forced to play at Flat Rock's pace due to the way Scarton ran the offense. Huron lacks this type of point guard who is in total control as Scarton is.

  9. I attended the Jefferson/GI game and GI controlled the game from the beginning. Neither team looked to have too much talent but GI hit their shots and Jefferson did not. GI had a 20+ point lead at the half. The second half was played much closer with GI using their bench liberally while Jefferson became a little more physical, likely from the frustration of playing so poorly - #24, #20, and #2 especially left a little to be desired in the way of sportsmanship. Otherwise, good first win for GI!
