Im gonna put what I think about the League so far and then put who I think are best players at each position...
Huron Huron Huron they are playing some very good ball... They blew Divine Child out and Divine Child beat SMCC... Huron is for real guys whoever has to face them good luck...
SMCC is either good or bad... if you can find a way to shut down Kenan or at least slow him down you will win because Chinevarre isnt going to score enough to lead a team to victory
Flat Rock seems like they are getting better and they have the best player in league in Scarton so I would say they will finish top 3 in league
Airport is playing well too... their losses are to Dundee and Salem who have some very good big guys... So if Airport finds a team with a good big guy they are in trouble... If the other team doesnt have height look for Airport to win every one of them
Riverview is a let down so far... i thought they would be doing better...
Jefferson Milan and Grosse Ile need to pick it up if they plan on having any kind of a good season

Point Guards:
#1 Scarton (Flat Rock)- Very talented ball handler, can shoot can drive can pass... He is the whole package for a Point Guard... he will lead Flat Rock to good season
#2 Baker (Airport)- I seen him play last year and once this year and he plays very very hard... He handles the ball very well... i didnt see him shoot much but he may be the best driver in the league as i saw him get layup after layup
#3 Tavtigian (Huron)- He doesnt score a lot but can score if you need him to... and plays very good defense for a defense based Huron
Shooting Guards/Small Forwards:
#1 Wetzel(SMCC)- He can shoot from anywhere whether it be in corner, up top, 1 foot behind arc, 3 feet behind arc, it doesnt matter he will shoot and could make shots from almost anywhere
#2 Richardson (Huron)- He's taller which makes him able to rebound and lengthier to play better defense... But thats not all he is HE SCORES A LOT... he finds ways to get to basket and can hurt you from behind 3 point line too
#3 Jones/Pidgeon Duo(Airport)- I put a duo here because they both do the same thing... Baker handles it finds one of these guys and they Drain 3's its that simple... They both are Extremely good shooters that can shoot anywhere for a talented Airport team
Big Guys:
#1 Kowalski(Riverview)- Very tall and strong... he snags down a lot of rebounds and blocks a lot of shots... A good man to have in the middle of your Defense
#2 Oley(Jefferson)- He gets Rebounds like crazy... Oley is an aggresive basketball player that plays hard throughout the game... He can score a little too
#3 Stockert(Huron)- Tall athletic kid who you might remember from Football bringing down tons of passes... Very athletic physical player that can do a little of everything
richardson ahead of wentzel by far richardson is 10 times more athtletic and plays much better d and Tavtigian should be ahead of baker tavtigian plays physicalandcan run with anyone and plays good d and d wins championships. It doesnt matter individually anyways Huron is to deep.....

I think Huron is the team to beat. Riverview is going to surprise people. SMCC will get going. I'm not sold on Airport but I like their guards. FR is not very good but I like their guards. GI, Jefferson and Milan will bring up the bottom.

My first guy off of the bench would be Brad Stewart from Riverview. His ability to play big for his size is impressive and he gets to the freethrow line as good as anybody in the league.
If i had to pick a guy to start a team it would be Richardson. He is quick, good sized, can shoot, play defense and rebound. His best attribute is probably his demeanor. Nothing fazes him. He just plays hard and wants to win. I am probably a little biased because he is a fellow St. John's Waltz guy.
I am not sold on Richardson. I think that he has padded his stats playing a couple easy teams. I watched a lot of huron basketball last year and he did not impress me very much. I do not think that he is not that great of a shooter. I think that when league play starts, the teams will key on him and his stats will fall. As for him being athletic he's 6'4 and can barely dunk. Scarton is 5'8 and can dunk

Not sold on Richardson? You said something very interesting, "last year". Players don't improve? I would say he has improved his game as much as anyone I have ever seen in the league.
You know he is not a 3 point shooter. He has be come very good at the "extinct" mid range jump shot. He also has been attacking the basket. That is why he has shot 31 freethrows in 5 games.
As for him dunking, both attempts I saw were in traffic. You are right about Scarton, he jumps out of the gym.
Scarton dose not play DEf.And all those other guys just shoot threes and a couple can drive .But Richardson can shoot the mid jumper he can shoot from any where.And he rebounds,passes,and plays great def.
I am not from Airport... I was just saying what i though because i saw Airport beat Woodhaven at Woodhaven by 20 and I was extremely impressed by the guard play... maybe i did put them to high but we will see... thats just what I think... maybe your minds will change after a little league play

Chris, you are right I have not seen Richardson this year. All that I was saying is that in the games that I seen last year he was not shooting very good at all. This year I see that he is 7-25 from 3's. He is also a very big ball HOG! He has more then 3 times the amount shot then any other player on Huron. He has 93 shot this year - the next highest is Stockert with 29.
Any leader of a basketball team who wants to "win" is gonna have more shots than the rest of his team. This isn't rec leauge where everyone gets to shoot. If huron is undefeated, the word ball hog doesnt matter!
Airport over Central by 10, Come on and get real. This could turn into a blow out if SMCC decides to play some Defense. (I would play a 3-2 zone) and take away Baker's pentration and deny the Three balls Jones will throw at the rim. Pidgeon is the only real shooter they have. SMCC 66 Airport 54
