Riverview struggles with GI, they won by single digits, Brad stewert stays hot, also sophomore Corey Turner continues to knock down the 3 with 11 points.
WOW, how can Airport play this well against Milan, but do just about the same to FR? Inconsistancy or just improvement? Should be an interesting day Tuesday when the Big Reds and the Chiefs meet. Battle of the undefeateds. The back half of the HL schedule should be very fun to watch.
Milan vs Airport was a great game. Thats not the same Milan team that people are accustomed to, with all the new transfers Milan is starting a group of kids who werent even in the district a few years ago, now they are the most athletic team in the league. Baker or Airport did a great job of handling the constant pressure put on Milan, and Jones played well and made some big shots down the stretch. When Airport packed it in a zone at the end of the first half they ended the half on a 17-2 run. The game stayed close from there on out. Had there not been a questionable foul call with 10 seconds left in regulation the Jets would have probably walked out with a victory. In the 1st OT Milan held the ball for 3 and half mins waiting to take the final shot. The final score isnt indicative of the how close it was, Milan made 6 free throws in the final minute and Airport Coach Spencer Recker got a T for an official not calling an obvious kick ball that resulted in a layup. A close game, amazing atmosphere and included to powerful dunks, this was one of the best huron league games ive seen in a while.
after seeing milan for the first time there for real, and i think that Huron will have a tough time beating them in the pit at Milan. Milan is more athletic than any team in the league and I think the defensive pressure applied by CJ Luvene on Richardson will give him fits, Luvene has to be the best defender in the league bar none. Stockert will have to have a good game and someone else will have to step up because I dont see Richardson getting 20 unless he shoots a boat load of free throws. Whats scary with Milan is they start 3 soph and a freshman. Just wait a few more years.

ReplyDeleteMilan wins in OT, 67-57. Andre Duffin had 29 and Andy Kuck had 11 for the big reds. Jones led airport with 21.
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive start for the Big reds, I dont think it will last to long. I predict them to finish 3-5 in their last 8 league games.
