Down Year in the League?

Is this a down year in the Huron League?

Currently the league is 13-21 in non-league play. Not real impressive. Two teams haven't won a game yet and two others only have one win.

There seems to be some individual talent in the league but what about the overall quality of teams?

  1. Maybe, besides Huron, teams challenged themselves with a difficult schedule.

  2. That doesn't seem to be the case though. SMCC and Riverview have played a pretty good schedule but I don't see anything very difficult.

  3. It's no secret the league is down..I look for Riverview, and SMCC to be the top contenders..Huron will be right around 2nd/3rd..you heard it here first!.look for FR, and Airport to factor in some upsets, if either of those teams gets hot from 3land watch out..both the ability to light it up from beyond the arc, but either play D or rebound!..also GI is athletic, but small, and they really don't have a scorer..

  4. Why does everyone still bash Huron like this? Go watch them play then say something... they might have been blowing all these teams out, but they're easily 10 deep... they showed that last night when Richardson had his roughest night of the year. Divine Child, Annapolis, and Cabrini were all solid teams. There is no need for all this bashing, they're living up to the little hype they've gotten.

  5. Airport has played tough schedule too ... They have played Carlson Dundee Woodhaven and Salem all pretty good teams

  6. That order of the top players in the huron league is right.
Scarton best point guard by far. But Stewart not White for Riverview
Wetzel a little better than Richardson

  8. Please refrain from using the name huronleaguebasketball to make your post. It is confusing the readership of the blog.

I appreciate your insight and comments. They are well thought out and well written.

I will not be able to approve any more comments with that handle.

Please choose another name and I will gladly post your thoughts.

    Thanks!

  9. We will get an idea tonite. huron blew divine child out by 25 at divine child. if smcc wants to establish themselves onto hurons level then they need to blow divine child out at home.

  11. I'm not bashing Huron, just calling it as I see it..Remember my post..really who have they beat?? Cabrini is not very good..anyone more athletic then Huron with a few good shooters will give them problems..don't tell me the team from Detroit was any good..i promise u they weren't...i've watched Huron twice, and I don't see it..they're well coached, but nothing special
