i think it is safe to say that Monroe County is a football County. there are more hits on the football blog at this time then there is on this basketball blog during the basketball season. i love your work.
I dont know if you'll be able to do stat leaders because im not sure even most players know their stats its hard to keep track of all that and monroe news doesn't do it for us... But what if every saturday after all the games were played you did some players of the week... you could tell who the players of the week were in the articles in the paper... Like last week it would be Richardson, Jones, Scarton, Wetzel who all had very good weeks... Just wonderin
I am planning on doing some player of the week stuff once the league gets rolling. It is tough when teams are playing games here and there prior to the league season.
Maxpreps is a great source for stats unfortunately many coaches don't use it because they consider it a free scout for people.
Looks like Airport, Jefferson, Riverview and GI are using maxpreps this year. I know Milan used it last year but the have a new coach now. That leaves Huron, Smcc.. Flat Rock use it last year too, maybe they will again this year.
oh my my my... im sorry yes i do like smcc and i like wetzel i think he is a very good scorer who has a future in basketball but to say 69 60 SMCC thats a stretch... People are underestimating Dundee there are two very good big guys in the region and they both play for Dundee... they will switch up defenses which will play with SMCC a little... they will probably run a box and 1 so im going to have to say dundee 70 SMCC 58... sorry but thats just me
and yes there will be way more talk once league play starts
We shall see its about 11 hours away. SMCC will pressure the gaurds and they MUST be PHYSICAL with CJ and Mike force them to play away from the basket yes they are great shooters for big men. But I think SMCC has a deeper bench and better shooters. I still like SMCC to win this game at Home....The Basketball Swami
