Huron League Thoughts and Questions

It was kind of a slow week in the Huron League. Many schools chose to play only one game.

Though it wasn't a typical Divine Child team, Huron's 23 point win was impressive.

SMCC's quality win over Bedford was trumped by a poor showing against Adrian.

I wonder if Flat Rock's Andrew Scarton will be 100% this week.

I never did hear a Riverview/GR score.

Milan struggled in their opener against Tecumseh.

Looks like a young Grosse Ile team played some bigger schools tough.

I'm sure Jefferson's offense will improve this week.

Airport seems pretty confident in their guards this year.

  1. Huron sure is looking good arent they... Richardson is scoring a lot of points for them and their defense is pretty good... They look pretty strong... What do you mean will Scarton be 100 percent did something happen did he get injured? SMCC obviously is going to either show up or not show up at all... And yes Aiport seems to be VERY CONFIDENT IN THEIR GUARDS... Jones and Pidgeon can really shoot and Baker can handle the ball with the best of them

  4. Sorry, but I won't be including the girl's scores on this blog.

Scarton rolled his ankle the Friday before the opener and probably shouldn't have played.

Impressive score for Riverview. Thanks for posting the score.

  5. i heard scartons ankle is feeling alot better, but still not 100%. Jones and Pidgeon were deadly. They are the best 3 point duo i have seen in years. SMCC will be just fine. if Wetzel only scores 6 points they are in trouble. but Wetzel will not do that too often.

  6. Airport has every right to be confident in their experienced play, they return 3, or possibly 4 legit starters and only lost 1 valuable senior. show me another team that has that much experience returning?
and yes, it said in the paper that milan couldnt "throw a grape in the ocean"....pretty critical for one game. first game jitters get even the best of us

  7. Airport has 3 starters back from a team that went 8-14.

  8. 4 starters back and the other starter was Steven Sprinkles... Steven Sprinkles? they are definately better this year

  9. If you want to talk experience, i would give that to Huron. They only lost two legit players from last year, and haven't had trouble replacing them yet.

  11. If you are not covering the girls you should change the name to Huron League Boys Basketball.

  12. I could do that but why don't you name your blog Huron League Girls Basketball so I don't have to change mine?:)

  14. theres no way airport has the best returnig cast and starters. sure huron lost 2 talented big men, but david stocket and tony hernandez seem to be feeling their shoes pretty nicely. huron has the best guard in the league a 6'4 swingman zac richardson. hes averaging close to 25 a game. hurons most talented in the league
