Monroe County should be so proud of these young men. Unfortunately there are too many SMCC haters out there. Our team never gave up and played well against a strong Schoolcraft team that beat most of their opponents by 20 points or more. We will miss you seniors and best of luck to the juniors next year to carry on a strong tradition of excellence.
Looks like SMCC and Dundee won't meet anymore in districts. Dundee has to move up to class B. Milan also has to move up, to class A. These schools enrollment must have went up drastically.
Jackson Lamb is forgoing his Junior and Senior season and will play for the Michigan Wolverines next season. Thats about the only real talent in the region.
The top player in the league, Shinevarre has limited options. Juco or a place like Concordia is about it. Too small, and not quick enough doesn't equate well to college hoops. I see no other player this year playing any type of hoops in college.
To the post on 4/5/11, are you meaning to suggest that U of M would accept this student who does not have a GED and only completed two years of high school? I highly doubt it.
Shinevarre will be playing college Basketball next season. He has proved doubters wrong his entire life. Its not about where you play but are ya still playing. There is nobody who loves the game and plays harder than Edmond. He will be a perfect fit at CONCORDIA
I never said that Shinevarre doesn't play hard and have a love for the game. Just saying what college coaches would be saying. I think Concordia would be excellent for Edmond. He can get a good education at a good price and could compete at the next level. I meant no harm in the statements posted above, just that, that's probably the highest of levels he could compete at because of genetics, that's all. With that being said, no other player in the league will be playing college ball next year.
