  1. Airport game was a good one. Down 13 in the 3rd they scapped their way back to get their first lead with 3.8 sec left. Zach Baker - finally off football injury - sparked the team at point. GI shut down McCormack. Potcova was probably leading scorer. Calvin scored the game winner and rebounded well. Team figuring out how to win.

  2. Milan played bad last night but give credit to that number 23 for flat rock dropping 31! Tori Martison and Andre Duffin put the team on their backs late in the game. Duffin with 16 in the fourth and Martinson with 8 of 9 OT points finishing with 16, not to mention he added 14 rebounds on the night. Go Big Reds!

  4. Is it me or does #10 from SMCC look like Sid Villian from the original Toy Story?

  5. @1:25 -- Unfortunately, it's going to be a while before the majority of people that read this blog give that Milan team any credit, due to some ridiculous notion that they "recruit" all of their players. Before last year, they won 3 games in 2 years. That's some recruiting tool there...

They're a well-coached team with a good bit of talent. They get respect from me.

  6. Wasn't the Milan/FR game at Milan? Monroe news has it that way. I sure would hope that they could beat FR at home. FR has only one returner who got significant minutes last year. I still think the league is a 3 horse race with Milan CC and Riverview. Yes, I know, Milan spanked them last week, but it was at Milan and I think they were riding some emotions from what has happened to them. Long season left.

  9. Milan was at Flat Rock. You can't believe everything you read. You have to check things out for yourself. It doesn't matter...Milan could win the HLC and the hate will still be there...sad!

  11. I've now been able to watch every team: here's how they stack up tonight...

    Milan 70 / GI 48 - Too athletic

    Riverview 55 / Flat Rock 51 - A Battle

    Huron 61 / Airport 46 - Guard Play

    SMCC 67 / Jefferson 50 - Post Play

  12. Looks like the top 4 all beat up on the bottom 4 tonight. Not even really a close game amongst them. Just shows you what the league is like this year. 4 pretty good teams and 4 not so good teams. FR is better than people thought, but it looks as though that non-conference schedule was a little weak. Milan = most athletic team, Riverview and CC are solid, and Huron has Kalby. That is how it breaks down this year. Interesting to see who wins it!!!!

  13. No one has respect for Milan because that's all they talked about on this blog during the summer about how they had the right pieces for their team now since they recruited. They have no post presents at all and once teams realize that they just chill around the 3 they'll get spanked. Riverview sat in a 2-3 so that's why they got spanked. Duffin had a good game against us. -anonymous from Rview
