SMCC/Schoolcraft
This is a nice match up between #3 ranked Schoolcraft (24-0) and SMCC (21-3). Schoolcraft loves to put up points and SMCC will most likely try and control the tempo.
The Eagles are averaging 76 points a game and have gone over the 80 point mark 11 times this season. Schoolcraft has 4 players averaging double figures led by guard Cody Chandler's 21 ppg. Chandler has hit 75 3-pointers on the season and is most likely the best shooter the Falcons will have seen all season.
Forward Luke Ryskamp averages 16 ppg along with nearly 8 rpg. Forward Tyler Dow averages 13 points while guard Blake Krum averages 10. The Eagles have steamrolled through the State tournament thus far with no games being close. Schoolcraft beat America's adopted team Fennville in the Regionals by an impressive 24 points.
SMCC will look to use its height advantage against the smaller Eagles while relying on their two best players Edmond Shinevarre and Torin Wetzel. Shinevarre has elevated his game since two Falcon starters went out with injuries nearly a month ago. Those injuries have turned out to be a blessing as the Falcons have developed some depth with those starters now back in the line up.
I wish I could make it out to Battle Creek to catch this game. It should be quite a contrast in styles. If this game stays under 60 points a piece SMCC will win. Anything over that and Schoolcraft moves onto the semis at the Breslin.

District Predictions
Class B District #37 @ Onsted
The district includes Milan, Onsted, AA Gabriel Richard, Chelsea, Ida and Tecumseh. Milan and Onsted have the best records in the field but they play in the first round on Monday. Both Chelsea and Richard have played tough schedules. Look for Milan to reach the district final against AAGR.
Pick: AAGR
Class B District #38 @ Flat Rock
This district includes Huron, Flat Rock, Airport, Jefferson, Grosse Ile and Summit Academy. The big game will most likely be Wednesday when FR and Huron meet if the Rams can get by Jefferson. Look for Huron and GI to meet in the finals. Pick: Huron
Class B District #39 @ Divine Child
This district includes Divine Child, Melvindale, Robichuad, Annapolis, Riverview and Henry Ford Academy. The class of the district appears to be on one side of the bracket. The district may be decided Monday night when DC plays Melvindale. Look for DC and Annapolis to reach the finals. Pick: Divine Child
Class C District #69 @ Summerfield
This district includes SMCC, Dundee, Summerfield, Erie Mason, Whiteford and Blissfield. Dundee and SMCC appear to be the best teams in this district but anything can happen in March. Look for a great match up of SMCC and Dundee before a packed house at Summerfield on Friday. Pick:SMCC
