Wow, whats up with the Rock being 4-0? I think everybody thought they would miss the two time Huron League Player of the Year.
Whats going on at Grosse Ile? They haven't won a game and haven't looked good doing so. Is that guy on the hot seat? At least the football coach has won some games.
Is CC ever going to play a game? They have to be getting ansy over there.
Has the Rock played any ranked teams or teams with winning records? Have they played any Class A teams? I'm trying to figure it out too! Maybe the player of the year was holding this team back. They can finally show their talents and not hide behind his. A 4-0 start,sounds like state champs to me....
I would say 4-0 is pretty good considering they went 7-14 last season and graduated their top two players. They beat Carlson which is a Class A school. The way it looks they should be able to finish in the middle of the pack in the Huron League. If they finish 7-7 in the league and lose their last two non-league games they finish the season at 11-9 with a winnable district. I would say that would be a very good season for FR.
I can't figure GI out. Maybe they just don't have any hoopers or maybe they have just played a tough schedule. One thing I noticed about GI is that they don't have any size. GI always has size. This year the biggest guy on the floor is Coach Friel.
SMCC gets started tonight and should be able to handle Ida. The Falcons are big and have a stable of shooters.
Airport and Coach Marino get their 1st win of the season over a bad Erie mason team. Don't remember the score but it was by 8 points or so. The freshman looks like he will be a very nice player down the road. Airport played without their leaper DeVaun Posey, but played really hard as Calvin Meyer looked good. Lack of any depth will hurt come huron league games.
With the "PLayer of the Year" shooting the ball every touch, Flat Rock can move the ball around to get the open shot, that's what they were missing, they had it a few years back when Andy was the coach, but it was gone for a couple years
